Best Packaging Design 2022

I love a good end of year wrap up. Each year there are amazing products and packaging designed throughout the world. So I wanted to highlight a few that I found outstanding this year. I chose these packaging designs because among the millions of product packaging designed every year around the globe these ones really stood out as being innovative, unique, and eye catching.

One outstanding packaging design in the wine category is Goose Ridge’s Flock Feather & Folley by CF Napa. I love the sunny yellow color of this label and the intricate black flower and bird illustrations work perfectly with the delicately crafted ampersand.

Another one of my favorite packaging designs of 2022 is this design for Elemental Beverage Co, by Chen Design. The overall simplicity of the can design paired with the off-white background and paint gestures remind me of a high end gallery. I can definitely see myself sipping this at the Met or the Whitney.

There is something so damn pleasing about this olive oil packaging design for Graza by Gander. Maybe it is the fact that they have totally broken away from the typical glass container shape that almost every olive oil comes in. Or the fact that they have taken something traditional and turned it into something playful and fun. But the shelf appeal is undeniable. It’s definitely going in the shopping cart and taking center stage on my kitchen counter as well.
